Japan Earthquake
A magnitude 9 earthquake struck Japan’s northeast, 規模 9 的強震重創日本東北部,並引發巨大海嘯。有超過
triggering a massive tsunami. More than 16,000 people
are either confirmed dead or listed as missing.
One of the main issues Japan now faces is electricity
shortages. The government launched rolling blackouts in
the Kanto region and Shizuoka and Yamanashi
prefectures. In addition, the radiation leaks from the
Fukushima nuclear power plants have begun to spread.
The earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan have caused up
to 235 billion dollars worth of damage.
